Near to Far Sound Focusing

Before you begin this exercise, center yourself by utilizing the “Resetting Fight or Flight Breathing Technique”.

1) Listen to all sounds you hear around you.

2) Focus on the sound that is closest to you?

3) Is the sound comforting or irritating?

4) Loud or Soft?

5) If you find the sound comforting, continue to focus on it, till you lose interest.

6) Next, focus on a sound that is a bit further away.

7) Remember to keep rhythmically breathing as you tune in.

8) Do you find it comforting or irritating?

9) Is it loud or soft?

10) If you find the sound comforting, continue to focus on it, till you lose interest.

11) Continue this exercise by focusing on sounds further and further away.
